What is Ayurveda?
Originating more than 5000 years ago, Ayurveda is one of the world’s oldest holistic systems. This science was born in India and the term’s literal translation is “the science (veda) of life (ayur)”. Ayurveda looks at everything around us, including our body, mind and spirit, as having qualities of Vata (air and space), Pitta (water and fire) and Kapha (earth and water) and our overall health depending on the delicate balance of those qualities. Through diet and life-style recommendations, Ayurveda can help us get back in touch with our true nature and create long-lasting positive changes in our health.
This UNIQUE guidebook goes over basic principles of Ayurveda, qualities of Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas. It includes appropriate yoga poses and other workout modalities for each of the three doshas, as well as healing herbs and other resources.

About THE Instructor
Oxana has a true passion for wellness and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and in History. In 2008, she moved to NYC to continue her studies at Hunter College. The practice of yoga helped her manage a stressful busy schedule and in 2014 she received 200 hour Yoga Instructor certification with YogaWorks NYC. With her knowledge in anatomy, movement and nutrition, it was Ayurveda that brought it all together. This guidebook is the direct result of her experience.
